Angles

So far, the only things I've spent any christmas money on are accessories, both of which I am wearing in this post. In the past, I've been known as a minimalist with jewelry and such, but perhaps I'm turning over a new leaf. Also, if you can't tell, I've recently discovered Pic Stitch. I know most of you clever cats found it forever ago, but I do not apologize for my lateness or my overzealous picture stitching. Enjoy!

Panthère

I saw this ring on Huffington Post Beauty's instagram a few weeks ago and now it is mine. Rejoice! This statement ring is pretty much Francesca's more affordable version of the Cartier Panther. Thanks to my brother Ben for the sweet Christmas Cash that bought this baby.

It's a Marshmallow World in the Winter

This is What You Need:

3 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
Sugar
Powdered sugar
Vanilla extract
Light corn syrup
Salt
Water

Gelatin "envelopes". The usual suspects.

Put the gelatin in a standing mixer bowl with half a cup of cold water and let it sit there.

Now combine 1 and half cups of granulated sugar, 1 cup of light corn syrup, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a small saucepan. Cook on medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then raise the temp. until the mixture reads 240 on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat.

Very slowly, pour the syrup into the gelatin mixture while the mixer (fit with the wisk attacchment) is on low speed. Now turn the speed to high and just let is go for about 15 minutes.

liberally dust a nonmetal 8 by 12 baking dish with confectioner's sugar while waiting.

Here's what you should get...

it's like a winter wonderland...

Smooth it out! and let it sit uncovered over night.

The next day, run a knife around the edges and flip it out onto a cutting board. Cover these yummy Mallows with whatever you want! (chocolate. chocolate. chocolate.)

If You Were a Season, You Would be in Bloom

Ah, my second post. I think this last picture is ridiculously goofy, so naturally I included it. I have an unusual relationship with posing and cameras so I think these pictures represent my struggle to "act natural". However, props go to my sister Elizabeth Sharp for the A+ photography and coaching. Not to mention this was shot in her creatively decorated bedroom.

Here We Go.

Well, here we go. . .

First, let me apologize for the lameness of this first post. I just really wanted to post something. Above, you'll see me sporting my new favorite pants. I discovered them at the Goodwill last Friday and you can bet they will make another appearance here very soon. I have big plans for them.

Unfortunately this picture shows little of my actual outfit, but the tights coordinate with that sweet peacock feather dress that you can barely glimpse under my coat and sweater.
Tights from Target
Dress from Anthropologie (I think)
